Traffic routes: It takes 1 hour to go thereby a tourist bus. Tourist buses are available every morning to the east of Qianmen Gate Tower, in front of the History Museum at Tiananmen Square, at the southeast corner of the entrance of Chong-wen-men Road, etc. The price for a two-way ticket is RMB 36 per person.
Take Tourist Bus Line 1 at Qianmen (Qianmen Bus Stop of Bus No.17), Tourist Bus Line 2 at Beijingzhan Dongjie (the Bus Stop of Bus No.103), Tourist Bus Line 2 Branch at the West Gate of the History Museum, Tourist Bus Line 3 at Dongdaqiao (Dongdaqiao Bus Stop of Bus No.28), Tourist Bus Line 4 at Xizhimen or the Zoo, Tourist Bus Line 4 Branch at the Pingguoyuan, Tourist Bus Line 5 at the taxi station at Qianmenxi, Tourist Bus Line 8 at Andingmen or Qianmen. All those options will take you straight to the destination in 40 minutes.
The cheapest route to the Great Wall at Badaling: Take subway or bus and get off at Deshengmen Station or Bus Stop, and then Bus No.919 will take you straight to the foot of Badaling Great Wall. Ordinary Bus costs RMB 8 yuan per person; air-conditioned bus costs RMB 12 yuan per person. The interval between buses is five minutes. 60% discount is offered for Public Transportation Cards.
Take suburban railway Line S2 at Beijing North Railway Station and get off at Badaling.
