Norwegian Reward frequent flyer program

Norwegian Reward is the name of the frequent flyer program which is being launched today, 18 November. Travellers will receive a total of 10 percent CashPoints on Full flex tickets and 2 percent CashPoints on Low fare tickets. 1 CashPoint is equivalent to 1 NOK.
Travellers can earn CashPoints from the very first trip and use them as full or partial payment for new flights, check-in luggage or seat reservations. The points can be used at any time, and you do not need to save up a certain number of points before use.CashPoints are Norwegian’s own currency. 1 CashPoint is equivalent to NOK 1 when purchasing flights with Norwegian. CashPoints can be used as full or part payment for flights, seating, baggage and changes to flights through your profile at www.norwegian.com
My Reward is for individuals - both for leisure and business travellers. Membership in the frequent flyer program will not be attached to a specific card. The customers will receive an electronic membership without a physical card, and can choose to pay their trip with any kind of credit card.
My Reward applies to both domestic and international travel. Due to Norwegian legislation it is not possible to earn points on domestic flights in Norway, however, it is possible to earn points on all international flights, also out of Norway.
Corporate Reward is an electronic corporate agreement, where it is the company that earns CashPoints.
The two programs My Reward and Corporate Reward may be combined - so that both the company and the employees can earn points on the same trip.

Norwegian flights Stockholm to Helsinki Finland

Norwegian opened its new direct flights from Stockholm to Helsinki, with prices from 27 Euros one way. Norwegian consequently becomes the first low-cost airline to fly these routes.By lowering the prices for flights to and from Helsinki, Norwegian becomes an affordable option for both business and leisure travelers.
The time table for the two routes is adapted for the business traveler with two daily flights on weekdays – morning and evening. From Arlanda airport to Helsinki there are also two flights on Sundays and one on Saturdays and from Gardemoen to Helsinki one flight departing on Sundays.

– It’s a milestone for Norwegian when we today launched our first direct flights to Finland. The Nordic region is a natural focus area for us. We see that there is an opening for a new player as today’s prices are too high. With our new routes, both business and leisure travellers will get value for their money, said Norwegians CEO Bjørn Kjos.

Finnish travelers can now travel onwards with Norwegian to approx. 90 destinations in Europe, Middle East and North Africa, through Stockholm or Oslo.

SAS nonstop flights to New York from Oslo

Seven years after cancelling its route from Oslo Airport to New York, Scandinavian airlines SAS reopens the route with daily flights.
The Oslo-New York nonstop flights will be launched March 27 next year and serviced daily with an Airbus A330-300, offering 34 Business class seats, 35 Economy Extra and 195 Economy seats, Oslo will be the third route from Newark for SAS, which also flies nonstop from there to Copenhagen and Stockholm. Other U.S. gateways for SAS are Chicago O'Hare (to Copenhagen and Stockholm) and Washington Dulles (Copenhagen).The direct route from Oslo to New York will give Norwegian SAS passengers access to more than 40 routes beyond The Big Apple to the rest of North and South America with SAS’ alliance partners.
"The new Oslo route will provide smoother connections to the rest of Norway and other areas in Scandinavia and Europe," Persson says, adding "SAS also will significantly increase frequencies across our short-haul network with an additional 150 weekly departures on key routes."

Also on Wednesday, SAS announced that it would add nonstop service between Copenhagen and Shanghai. The airline says that "service will begin as five times weekly during next winter, using an Airbus A340-300 with 245 seats: 46 in Business, 28 in Economy Extra and 171 in Economy."

SAS will also open direct routes from OSL to Palma, Munich and Split in the spring.

Norwegian fly to Marrakech from Oslo

Norwegian will fly directly to Marrakech from Oslo and Stockholm every Tuesday and Saturday and from Copenhagen every Wednesday and Saturday.

In addition to doubling the number of departures to Marrakech, Norwegian also opens a brand new route to the seaside city Agadir – also in Morocco. This is a perfect destination for those who love sun and bathing, and at the same time would like to combine their holiday with culture and other experiences.
All routes will be flown with Norwegians new and more environmentally friendly Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The flight time to Marrakech and Agadir will be estimated to around 5 hours from Oslo and Stockholm and 4,5 hours from Copenhagen.

Norwegian’s route from Oslo to Marrakech has been a big success, and the demand for more departures has been huge. That is the reason why the airline now increases its offer to two weekly departures to Marrakech in Morocco. The new offer increases the customers’ options, as they can now choose from two days a week for departure out of Oslo and two days a week for departure home. It is also possible for shorter trips to Morocco.

Norwegian 737-800 Boeing Sky Interior

Norwegian airlines Boeing 737-800 plane featuring the brand new Boeing Sky Interior, arrived in Oslo, Norway Friday morning. The new interior will increase passenger comfort considerably. The Boeing Sky Interior is a passenger-pleasing interior that will help differentiate Norwegian Air Shuttle and its growing fleet of 737 Next Generation airplanes

The plane will enter regular traffic in a few days. Norwegian is among the first airlines in the world to introduce the Boeing Sky Interior to its fleet. The interior is based on the interior design of Boeing’s newest 787 Dreamliner and greatly improves the overall passenger comfort.

Reduced cabin noise, larger overhead bins and dynamic LED mood lighting - enabling the simulation of sunrise and sunset - are among the most noticable features of the Boeing Sky Interior.
