Ancient Pingyao|travel package

Ancient Pingyao
travel package - 3 days / 2 nights

At one time, China had a more sophisticated banking system than that of Europeand Pingyao was at its heart. Home to the first banks in China, this affluent town was the center of finance and trade and filled with luxurious residences. But WWII left Pingyao in poverty and without the money to modernize, thus also preserving most of the town's Ming and Qing buildings and streets. Today, the town is a UNESCO World Heritage. A trip here is a trip back in time, as you stroll down cobblestone streets and explore ancient courtyard homes.
