low cost carrier Vision Airlines launched direct flights between Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) and Northwest Florida Regional Airport (VPS) in Destin / Ft. Walton Beach, FL.

Vision Airlines started new flights and cheap fares between the beach communities of northwest Florida and such cities as Baton Rouge, Knoxville, Tenn., and Little Rock start March 25, with ticket price for as low as $49 one way. Service between northwest Florida and Miami and Niagara Falls, N.Y., launched Dec. 17.2010

Vision Airlines fly four times per week on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday using a 148-seat Boeing 737-400 aircraft. Flights from Northwest Florida depart at 1:20 p.m. and arrive at Orlando Sanford at 3:30 p.m. Flights will depart Orlando Sanford at 4:15 p.m. and arrive at Northwest Florida at 4:20 p.m. (all flight times are local).
