dfw to Brisbane direct flights Qantas

Start your vacation to Australia with a direct flight from Dallas/Fort Worth!
From Monday 16 May 2011, Qantas started flying from Dallas/Fort Worth to Brisbane and on to Sydney four times a week, offering more access through one of the largest cities in the United States.
Qantas will offer four return flights to DFW each week, featuring a three-class Boeing 747 aircraft. Direct Sydney-San Francisco (SFO) services will be discontinued on 14 May 2011, but SFO will remain part of Qantas' network as a codeshare destination.
The route will see Qantas operate direct outbound flights from Sydney to DFW (as QF7), returning to Sydney via Brisbane (as QF8). DFW is the primary hub of Qantas' fellow oneworld alliance member, American Airlines, and the two carriers will soon seek to expand their commercial relationship.
The limited-time special fares begin at $988* for flights from Dallas/Fort Worth to Australia; with select codeshare connecting flights on American Airlines available for an incredibly low $10* add-on to the special Dallas/Fort Worth fare from the following cities:
Memphis, Tenn. New Orleans Raleigh/Durham, N.C. Charlotte, N.C. Orlando, Fla Houston Travel dates between May 16 and June 1, 2011 or between August 3 and September 3, 2011; flights must be booked between March 11 and March 18, 2011.* For reservations, contact a preferred travel agent, visit qantas.com or call 800-227- 4691.^
In further positive news for Australian and US travellers, Qantas will also increase the frequency of its Los Angeles-New York service (QF107/108) from six times per week to daily, from June 2011.
"News of flights between DFW and Australia is a great way to start 2011," said Fort Worth Mayor Mike Moncrief. "We believe the Qantas service will be a tremendous boon for the people of our region. It will be more efficient for passengers who want to visit Australia and for local companies that want to do business there."
